A healthy thriving grapevine always has more than one branch! Multiple branches grow side by side, even intertwining sometimes. They grow and produce fruit together. Jesus has called us to follow Him for ourselves but not by ourselves. Jesus showed us what a life of community could look like and how to live in it. How much room have we made for community in our lives and how can we take a step toward growing in community?
We all have the desire to grow in different areas of our lives. Our passion for change fuels us as we set a new goal, it motivates us to make a start on that idea we’ve been sitting on for way too long. But it’s a way too familiar story for a lot of us and unfortunately it doesn’t end well. We start with all the right intentions, but we just can’t seem to follow through to the finish line. Why is this? What could be the missing link? What could be our ticket to moving from desire to destiny? We think the “D” word could have something to do with it!
Every seed has the potential to grow, all it takes is time, care & the right environment and you’ll get a harvest from what you've planted! What kind of environment will we grow best in? How can we contribute to building an environment for growth in our lives, and how does God use what’s surrounding us to help us grow and produce much fruit?
Everything that has life grows! From a baby to an adult, a seed to a tree, an idea to it’s fulfilment, everything that is healthy will automatically grow and in most cases you won’t be able to stop it or slow it down, that’s how powerful the God given ability to grow is. Moving forward, progressing, getting bigger, enlarging, expanding, going deeper, are words that all speak of growth in some way or another. Most of us expect to see growth in our life and in others around us. In fact, when something doesn’t grow as fast as we expected, we often ask the question “what’s going on?” If growing in our relationship with Jesus and walking in greater things with God is supposed to be natural, then what can we do to make sure that I’m spiritually healthy and ready for growth?
